Professional Excellence Grants First Franchise in the UK
Professional Excellence has granted its first franchise to Richard Featherstone. Richard’s own background is in pharmaceutical sales and training, which no doubt will be a winning combination with the Professional Excellence training franchise opportunity.
Richard has experience of being self-employed, as he set up his own training & consultancy business 4 years ago. He comments ‘’ it was great initially setting on my own, as I had the freedom to decide where and when to proved training. However, I found like many independent training providers I was working odd days here and there and having to try to develop bespoke training for clients. I really was just ‘bumbling along’ with no clear direction. What I was missing was the support of other people, having a developed training programme format and being part of a network.’’
Richard has seen the huge potential in joining Professional Excellence as a franchisee, because of the proven systems and standard training programme which have been developed by the founder, Michael Brook over the last seven years.
Michael has had many successful years developing the systems and training modules which are the Advanced Sales Development System™ (ASDS) & Advanced Management Development System™ (AMDS); he has now brought them to the franchise market place and into a franchise package.
The role of the franchisee is to build a business to business client base that are utilising the training modules and systems across all levels and types of businesses. The modules focus on advanced sales development and leadership and management developement.
Richard Featherstone’s background in sales and training is ideally suited to become a Professional Excellence franchisee. Their ideal profile for a franchisee requires an ability to develop business to business clients and to deliver professional sales and management training. The Professional Excellence franchise model has been structured so that the franchisee has the potential to take on employees in the future to deliver the training programme, so allowing a franchisee to grow a business with scalable potentially that isn’t reliant on one individual.
Before Richard joined Professional Excellence he researched the market both in terms of franchising and training business. He wanted to make sure he understood franchising, as well as the market and making sure that he could sell the system and believe in the product.
He worked through the different options available to him, in continuing with his own training business, as well as other franchise opportunities. The key for him was to ensure that there was enough finance available to put into the franchise, but also to covering the work capital required in the first few months while working on client development.
Richard states, ‘’joining Professional Excellence and buying into a franchise offered me an opportunity to grow a business quickly as the systems are already in place and I don’t have to develop them. I was also attracted to joining a growing brand and being part of a developing network whilst also getting the support from a new and focused franchisor’’.
Richard is based in Cambridge, and has just completed the Professional Excellence initial training. He is already talking to lots of prospective clients who are all very enthusiastic about the training courses he offers. In February he is working with Michael Brook with one of his new clients in delivering training to an International client based in Europe – no doubt the first of many!
