Sandella's to Open up to 50 Units in Nevada
Sandella’s, the 125 + unit flatbread chain has embarked on an aggressive national expansion plan with Fransmart, an Alexandria, Va franchise development company and secured its first master franchise agreement. Dan Rowe along with Stephen Crystal of Sandella’s Franchise Nevada, LLC (SFN) have purchased the development rights for Nevada and will bring as many as 50 new restaurants to casinos, airports, sporting arenas, retail centers and food courts. The company plans to open the first unit by late summer.
Stephen Crystal is the former president of Barrick Gaming Corporation, a hotel/casino company which previously operated six casino/hotel properties with over 2,000 hotel rooms and 150,000 square feet of gaming in downtown Las Vegas. He currently serves on the Board of Directors for Las Vegas Gaming, Inc., a public gaming technology company and is co-owner of Vox Wine Bar and Supper Club in Henderson.
“Sandella’s is the perfect chain to expand in Las Vegas—great branding, great food, extremely simply to operate and since there are no grease traps or hoods, they are very inexpensive to open and we can really penetrate the market in both traditional and non-traditional sites,” said Stephen.
Named the seventh fastest growing concept according to Restaurant Business Magazine, Sandella’s is a branded quick service restaurant concept with high quality, great tasting, products that are easy to execute—everything on the menu is made in four steps or less.
Sandella’s incorporates the hottest trends in the fast casual segment, offering consumers fresh, hot and healthy menu items such as grilled paninis, sandwiches, grilled flatbreads and quesadillas—all made with their own delicious flatbread which is kosher and only one gram of fat. Already ahead of its time, Sandella’s is trans-fat free and listed in the Weight Watchers Points Guide.
“Flatbread is very hot right now, not only because it’s healthy but because it tastes good,” says Mike Stimola, Sandella’s president. “Since Sandella’s founding fourteen years ago we have worked hard to perfect our very own distinctive, high quality, 3-layer brick oven flatbread recipe. Our customers love it and we are looking forward to bringing it to Nevada.”
